Our Design Process
I recognize that each client and each project is unique. That's why I start my projects with an on-site visit (or virtual tour if we're doing this remotely). This allows me to become familiar with the physical environment that we're working with, plus I get to know you as a client. I want to know your hopes for your space, how you use your outdoor space, what you love and want, your problem areas, and what you want to avoid.
Next, I'll provide you with an estimate for my design services. Once you have chosen Allium for your landscape design needs, I'll schedule your project and provide you with a timeline.
Your first files will be a space planning and hardscape concept, along with a plant mood board. From there you have the opportunity to provide feedback before I move on to the final design.
Finally, you'll be provided with your digital design files - these are yours to keep! If you have revisions included in your agreement, I'll ask for your review and feedback, and then provide you with an updated timeframe for those revisions.
Our digital design files can include a concept drawing, a top-down site plan, suggested materials list, plant selection maintenance list, and a plant price estimate.
From here, you'll be able to use your design files to get started on your project. Use them to request quotes from contractors, or, if you're the DIY type, go ahead and tackle the project on your own. In some cases I am able to take on small installations with my team - these are limited in availability and scope. Please inquire for more information.
